Gingerbread House

We open windows of an advent calendar each day in December leading up to Christmas.  Most days a piece of chocolate or little Christmas trinket is nestled inside.  But every now and then I try to plan an activity which is 'opened.'  December 6 opened this piece of paper which commenced our annual gingerbread house decorating!  It's so fun and the 'artwork' on the table reminds each of us of the fun cooperation we shared.

Mommy was in charge of the icing, but every single piece of candy was applied by the children.  Caleb was soley responsible for the M & M's (except for the back panel where Jake helped).
