I love going to the mountains for many reasons and one of them is that it feels so very free. The children do not have to be neat or proper or contain the boundless energy and enthusiasm which is often pent up during other activities. They just love the freedom to roam, splash and explore. I do, too, actually!
Every bend a turn offers new discovery.

Jake loved being an engineer with Papa.
I loved getting hike alone with my parents. We are rarely together without the children.

We spent several hours hiking and they treated me to Bar-B-Q.
We went tubing down the river, which is one of my new favorite activities. But no one had their camera that day. It was quite an adventure. I'm so grateful to live in such a great place.
